AGI Opens New Manufacturing Facility in Richardson, Texas

HUNTSVILLE, AL – July 2026 – AGI Corporation, a U.S. manufacturer of tooling and automation solutions for electronics manufacturing, is expanding its manufacturing capabilities with the opening of a new facility in Richardson, Texas. The new location will support the growing EMS market in the region with locally produced laser-cut stencils. The Richardson facility will initially operate with 2 lasers, with plans to add additional equipment in 2027 as demand continues to grow.

“Having state-of-the-art equipment and processes is vital, but finding the right manager to lead the team is equally important,” said Hans Ruoss, General Manager of AGI Corporation. “We searched for months for an individual with PCB manufacturing experience and a strong understanding of stencil design and the SMT process. That person is Zaron Cardwell.”

Zaron has more than 15 years of experience in surface-mount technology (SMT), PCB assembly (PCBA), process engineering, and electronics manufacturing. His experience includes production management, quality systems, continuous improvement, and new product introduction (NPI).

“The key to the successful launch of this new site is our team,” said Bill Brown, Sales Manager at AGI. “We hired FHP Representatives, and both Dave Doggett and Brian Smith have been extremely supportive and instrumental in promoting AGI’s expansion.”

AGI also plans to add MicroGlide Platinum application and curing equipment at its Huntsville, Alabama, and Richardson, Texas, manufacturing facilities later this year. The equipment will enable AGI to apply MicroGlide Platinum to stencils at both locations, expanding the company’s ability to provide this value-added stencil treatment to customers.
